MYRTLE BEACH | Col. Harry Willard Brooks, retired, 67, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at his residence.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Harry and Almetta Brooks. Mr. Brooks was retired from the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Ulah Brooks of Myrtle Beach; a son, Todd Brooks of Greenville; a daughter, Kimberly Paul of Surfside Beach; and five grandchildren.

Col. Harry Willard Brooks was a student at Patterson School in the early 1960s.
